German Research Institutions

Zeppelin University is conceived as a “university between business, culture and government”. It is a privately-funded university accredited by government and the German Council of Science and Humanities, with over 1,100 students who are supervised by around 50 professors.

Research

The research landscape at Zeppelin University is founded on fields of research practised for many years; the core research areas that have been established to date can be summarised in three strategic lines of research:

• Complex Freedom
• Risky Innovation
• Transformative Cultural Production

These three holistic topic areas are flanked by the umbrella topics of globalisation and digitisation. Both developments give rise to challenges in a globally networked world, in which the topics of freedom, innovation and culture are undeniably relevant and will be examined in a very specific and refocussed manner in research, within the context of the opportunities open to Zeppelin University.
