As a quality leader in distance learning, the university has been offering flexible and customisable courses accommodating employment, training, disability, competitive sports or family for more than two decades.
SRH Distance-Learning University offers around 25 bachelor's and master's degree courses, as well as university of applied sciences certificate courses in the fields of business & management; psychology & health, and natural sciences & technology. The university has been continuously developing new university of applied sciences certificates within the framework of numerous cooperation arrangements with associations, businesses and institutions.
As the first German distance learning university, SRH received accreditation as an institution for the maximum period of ten years by the German Council of Science and Humanities. On-site lectures are currently held at 18 locations in Germany and Austria. There are currently around 4,100 students enrolled at the university.
Research
Teaching and research are closely connected at the SRH Distance Learning University. The primary strategic focus of the university's applied research is teaching. Hence, research activities very often correspond to the courses offered, and are supplemented by selected research projects in individual topic areas. Students learn how to integrate new methods and results directly into their work.
