On-campus lectures take place in parallel with employment or training through a range of timetabling approaches. In contrast to distance education, this on-campus concept allows students to receive optimum support: they are in personal contact with their lecturers and fellow students, share their views of course content and discuss experiences or problems. This boosts students’ motivation and at the same time improves the transfer of learning into practice.
