The University of Applied Sciences for Business (FHDW) was established in 1993 as one of the first private universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia. Today, it has campuses in Paderborn, Bielefeld, Bergisch Gladbach, Mettmann and Marburg. The university’s courses focus on the fields of business administration and information science for business.

Research

Teaching and research are the two equally important foundations on which the university's reputation is based. Research projects undertaken at FHDW tackle innovative questions posed by its partners in industry.
