Researching today's key questions
The Max Weber College, the research library and the Gotha Research Centre are representative of internationally recognised research activities. The university library is the hub of study and research, with over a million books and media right on the campus.
As a university of applied sciences with an emphasis on the cultural sciences, humanities and social sciences, Universität Erfurt specifically addresses today's key social questions: social cohesion in view of growing cultural and religious plurality, fairness in education, questions of inclusion, the social dimension of economic orders or sustainability. It supports international academic cooperation and the expansion of career paths, strengthens cooperation arrangements and research groups; it has also cemented an international approach that aspires to interculturalism and cultural diversity in its mission statement.
