Mittweida University of Applied Sciences is a strong research university. On average, its professors obtain two-and-a-half times as much third-party funding as their colleagues in universities of applied sciences across the Federal Republic. Since 2017, IT forensics specialists in Mittweida have been collaborating with the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology (SIT).
