Research and knowledge transfer
The University of Vechta focuses on innovative and pioneering core research areas that have earned the university a very distinctive profile. Education, gender, gerontology & social work, cultural studies, cultural transformation, development of rural areas and trust research cluster around the overarching theme of “transformation processes”. Transferring this research and its results to society is part of the university's daily routine – in the form of dialogue, in collaboration with the public in the context of “citizen science”, at the university and in the Vechta/Cloppenburg Science Shop. The university has continually expanded its academic personnel development services for academics in order to provide mainstream support for early career researchers.
