West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau is a university of applied sciences focusing on engineering, business sciences and quality of life. Approximately 4,600 students from nearly 50 countries are enrolled in around 50 courses across 8 faculties.

Projects such as development of a service data smart eyewear application for production; production of capacitive energy storage with extremely high charge carrier density; development of an automated plug-in system for electro-mobile public transport; development of a measurement and testing vehicle for safety audits of urban roads; or the use of saline water from mines to recover resources combine 120 years of tradition in educating engineers with the demands of the future.
