The University of Koblenz-Landau is a young university with a unique structure. We can be found at three different locations – the campuses in Koblenz and Landau, and our location in Mainz, where the Office of the President is based. Since it was founded, the university has grown apace, meaning that we are now the second-largest university in the Rhineland-Palatinate. However, we are still a manageable size and with a personal atmosphere, meaning that students have easy access to teaching staff and research.

Our profile is well developed, with research activities and courses focusing on the topics of education, humans and the environment. We collaborate closely with partner universities throughout the world in research and teaching. Young people from over 80 countries study at our university. We also provide our own students with guidance for their adventures abroad.
Incidentally, the University of Koblenz-Landau is an ideal launching pad for visionaries. We are a start-up university, and provide expert assistance along the journey to independence.
Research
Our research is carried out in working groups with both national and international networks. The University of Koblenz-Landau also works closely with partners in each of its regions. Our activities are characterised by the balance between basic and applied research. The university's core research areas currently include education, environment, computer science, humanities and social sciences, examined from the perspective of our three key topics.
