Research
Kiel University focuses on four priority research areas: Life Sciences, Marine Science, Nano Surface & Interface Science and Societal, Environmental and Cultural Change. Each priority research area draws together the expertise of various faculties in natural, social, engineering sciences, law and the humanities. The priority research areas are firmly integrated into university structures and form the foundation for the Clusters of Excellence “The Future Ocean” and “Inflammation at Interfaces”, as well as the Graduate School “Human Development in Landscapes”.
