Research
Research activities at the Hochschule Hannover focus on the global challenges of the future. This includes Industry 4.0, social change, world food security, responsible use of resources, increased use of renewable energies and intelligent analysis of huge volumes of data in a completely networked world.
The predecessor facilities to today's Hochschule Hannover had their origins in the Freye Handwerkschule für Lehrlinge – a “drawing school” for apprentices – dating back to 1791, a trade and arts college dating to 1892 and an agricultural engineering academy founded in 1965. Hence, the Hochschule Hannover has a long educational tradition that forms a solid foundation for the future.
