Medical research at MHH is among the strongest of any university of applied sciences in Germany. MHH's outstanding research performance has been clearly demonstrated in the Federal and state governments’ Excellence Initiative. MHH is home to two clusters of excellence: the “REBIRTH” cluster for regenerative medicine and the “Hearing4all” cluster for hearing research. Other core areas at MHH are transplant research, infection and immunology research and also biomedical technology and implants.
