The range of courses at both locations, Weihenstephan and Triesdorf, forms a coherent cluster of disciplines and includes all the fields related to nature, nutrition and environment in the widest sense.
Green core research areas
The university’s core research areas provide a specific response to current environmental and socio-political challenges. They include themes such as sustainability, the energy transition, climate change, healthy and personalised nutrition, demographic change, environmental protection and sustainable use of existing resources.
- Land use and nutrition (research on the entire food production value creation chain, from production of raw materials to the end consumer)
- Regrowing raw materials and renewable energies (research focusing on bioenergy)
