Konstanz University of Applied Sciences is situated on the bank of the river Rhine where it flows into Lake Constance, in the Konstanz district of Paradies. Founded in 1906 as a private higher technical teaching institute for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction and civil engineering, today it is a campus university with modern facilities, including a multi-award winning library, well-equipped laboratories and workshops all close at hand – a veritable “paradise” of opportunities for teaching, research, transfer and continuing education.

Research

As a research university with strong research capabilities, Konstanz University of Applied Sciences is a member of the European University Association (EUA). Researchers engage in interdisciplinary, project-based collaboration at our eleven research institutes and elsewhere. Konstanz University of Applied Sciences partners with business and institutions, providing expertise in research and development, technology transfer and continuing education. The university is well connected within the Lake Constance area, an international scientific and economic hub, and beyond.
